One Nature Nyaruswiga is a luxury tented camp beneath the Nyaruswiga Hills, in the heart of the central Serengeti. Its location is one of its great strengths: the Seronera valley’s resident big cats are close by, and the Great Migration is within reach whether the herds are in the central, southern or western Serengeti.
Thirteen tented suites are spread well apart in woodland, each built on eucalyptus poles with classic European styling and a large furnished deck over the savanna. Inside, hardwood floors and emperor-size four-poster beds meet wood-burning stoves for cool Serengeti nights. Bathrooms have hand-hammered copper bathtubs, indoor and outdoor showers and Molton Brown toiletries.
The main areas are open-sided, so the bush is always in view. There is a lounge and bar serving wines, spirits and cocktails, a dining room with old-world, map-lined charm, a heated plunge pool and jacuzzi surrounded by sun loungers, and an observation deck with two high-powered telescopes for stargazing. Wellness treatments can be enjoyed in your own suite.
Comforts that are rare in the bush are standard here: 24-hour power, free Wi-Fi across the property, room service, laundry with steam ironing and hypoallergenic bedding on request. A two-bedroom family tent welcomes families with children aged five and over.
One Nature also takes a responsible approach, with sustainable purchasing and community work. The result is a camp that feels both wild and beautifully finished.
